Let us recall the contents of a small note that circulated the Internet three years ago, where it was said about errors in the translation of the hieroglyph, which is used to denote the concept of “Chinese meridian” [1]. Neurologist Yegor Lobusov, graduate of the Faculty of Fundamental Medicine, Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov, a graduate student at the Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine talks in detail about other meanings of this hieroglyph, for example, “a set of longitudinal threads”, as well as the verb meanings “to penetrate, cross, stretch”, which can be easily checked in any dictionary of the Chinese language.

And this is exactly how the specialists of traditional Chinese medicine understand this hieroglyph, meaning “the connective tissue that permeates the entire body”, which logically is nothing more than structured chains of fascia, which the former Dean of the Faculty of Anatomy at the Rolf Institute, researcher Thomas Myers, writes about in his book “Anatomical Trains” [2].
