Ovarian tumors, in particular cysts, are a common problem in gynecology. Disorders of the endocrine regulation of the hypothalamic-pituitary system lead to
improper production of sex steroid hormones by the ovaries and contribute to a
change in the morphological structure of the ovaries (increase in size, cysts,
neoplasms, changes in the follicular apparatus).
