The leading place among natural focal infections in Udmurtia is occupied by hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS) and tick-borne encephalitis (TBE), the incidence of which is 7-15 times higher than the federal average and 3-7 times in the Ural region. Udmurtia accounts for up to 17% of HFRS diseases and up to 10% of TBE reported in the Russian Federation.
